Logistics Supervisor (m/f/d)

We are looking for a new colleague in the Production Control team at our location in Birmingham.
Your tasks:
- Responsible for the following aspects of the Supply Chain: Scheduling, Expediting, Supplier Management, Master Data (supply), NPI Material support. This person is expected to be the natural deputy for the Logistics Manager in his absence.
- Guarantee the purchase of supplies and materials according to specifications, and collaborate with other managers to determine all supply needs assisting in forecasting to plan future orders. Coordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures
- Provide weekly and monthly reports for KPI’s (including Inventory Days, Inbound Premium Freight, Supplier DCCAR and Supplier (OTD)
- Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material at all times and during emergencies
- Supervise, evaluate and coach Material Planners
- Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers, and manage the escalation process with the suppliers and internally within the plant.
Your profile:
- 3 – 5 years experience in supply chain and inventory control, or similar environment
- BSc/BA in Logistics or relevant field
- Understanding of forecasting and budgeting, MRP system (SAP MM)
- Strong math skills are desirable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
Grading: Depending on requirements and qualifications.
