Multiskilled Maintenance Technician

So, what will I be doing?

We are looking for someone really handy! Youll be a meticulous self-starter with a professional can do attitude and the ability to self-manage while prioritising maintenance tasks in support of our provision of safe places at Yeo Valley. Working at both Yeo Valley HQ and on some of our other sites, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who would like some routine maintenance work while still getting out and about as well as the odd curve ball thrown in to keep you guessing!

The day to day will include:

• General site and residential retreats maintenance tasks.
• Minor internal and external building repairs and decorating.
• Becoming a key holder and taking responsibility for site security.
• Responding to out of hours alarms.
• Light, adhoc maintenance checks of our pool vehicle fleet (tyre pressure, oil level, screen wash etc).
• Undertaking preventative maintenance and equipment checks.
• Acting as a site liaison for visits from external contractors.
• Enjoying a tasty organically produced lunch in our famous canteen for a discounted rate!

Hours: This is a full-time position, in general during normal working hours with occasional work out of hours, arranged in advance. There is some flexibility on starting and finishing times, which can be discussed at interview stage.

Salary: up to £27,000 depending on experience.

You need to have a strong service ethos and be great with people! The ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure is a must and a sense of humour certainly helps.

• Be positive and flexible in your approach to work.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills and a high standard of work regarding cleanliness, tidiness and health and safety.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Basic plumbing and electrical competence and qualifications are desirable.
