Warehouse Operative

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Wisbech. We are looking for skilled and unskilled operatives, to work alongside our current team, to deliver, safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.

We are looking for proactive people, who have a positive attitude and can work as part of an expanding team. As a Warehouse operative you will be expected to:

• Loading and unloading of vehicles using FLT
• Check for damaged or missing items
• Carry out stock counts as and when required
• Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
• Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
• Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Able to work well as part of a team
• Ability to work accurately and methodically
• Good communication skills
• Ability to plan and organise work
• Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count stock items
• An understanding of health and safety requirements
• Flexible approach to duties and tasks
• Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
• Hours 1200 – 2000 with a view to changing to 1400 – 2200 once fully trained.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.42 per hour
