Position Overview & Specifications

IMMEDIATE START for a 3 months Contract with possibility for Full time

This role will suit someone who ideally loves to work as a consultant and can give sometime to a 3-month contract role (with possible full-time entry) Our client is a Local Domiciliary Care Company who is passionate about providing care and support services for Adults with Learning Disabilities and the Elderly who are the heart of the business. Our client’s aim is to improve the lives of service users by providing them with bespoke practical & emotional care & support, whilst empowering them to maintain their independence, self-worth, respect & dignity. The personal needs & goals of the Service Users will be at the Centre of everything you do!

General duties include the following:

  • Managing the overall safety and quality of the business
  • Be responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative requirements and company policy and procedures
  • Undertake training and development to keep up to date with the law, best practice, and changes in company policy. Apply this knowledge to day-to-day management and delivery of care
  • Understand and monitor health and safety in the workplace and in the field. Act as lead for infection prevention and control
  • Maintain full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements and to ensure the effective running of the business
  • Implement quality management and improvement systems. Effectively manage complaints and incidents. Carry out investigations relating to the quality of the service and use findings to make improvements
  • Preform community visits to assess competencies, conduct assessments and reviews

What we require from an experienced Registered Manager:

Along with being responsible for the daily operations of the business, the delivery of competent & high-quality care and continued compliance with relevant legislation the Care Manager is to be required to:

o Develop & maintain a good professional relationship with the SUs, their families, staff, the local community etc., ensuring their safety & health/wellbeing

o Liaise with social care regulators/local authorities/professionals, Conduct staff interviews, inductions, probation reviews, appraisals & meetings

o You will have an excellent understanding of the needs of people who require care and support at home and the provision of homecare services in line with best practice

o Possess a good understanding of the CQC regulations and responsibilities of a Registered Manager and the law relating to domiciliary care services.

o You must have a minimum NVQ Level 5 in health & social care or Nursing/Occupational Therapy/Social Work Qualification

o Have at least 1-3 year’s management experience in domiciliary care

o Understanding of systems to maintain confidentiality in relation to customers, staff, and the business and Possess good IT skills with the ability to use Ms Word and Excel

o Lead the team and ensure satisfactory care standards/policies/procedures are implemented & throughout the care service

o Have a drivers Licence and access toy your own vehicle (Preferred)
