Position Overview & Specifications
Williamwood Medical Practice is looking to recruit phlebotomist to join our supportive and friendly team. Our clinical team currently consists of 4 GP partners, 2 Salaried GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Practice Nurse and a Health Care Assistant, serving a practice population of around 10,000 patients. We are also well supported by a core of new contract HSCP staff, including a Pharmacist, Advanced Physiotherapist and a Community Link Worker.
We are an established progressive practice located in the heart of the Glasgow South side within purpose built modern premises. We are paper light using EMIS and Docman.
The post holder will be required to collect blood samples from our patients.
Knowledge, Training and Experience
- Demonstrate evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up to date knowledge and ongoing competence in all aspects of the role
- Previous experience of working in a General Practice setting is preferred
- Possessing general computer literacy in a Windows environment is essential
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required.
- High awareness of Infection Control policies and procedures.
