Group Head of Assurance

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Group Head of Assurance to lead our Internal Audit team. This exciting and key leadership role will cover a broad portfolio of assurance activities by leading the provision of independent assurance over the key risks of the Group, protecting value for all stakeholders.

As Group Head of Assurance your key accountabilities will include:

• Preparing and delivering a comprehensive risk-based internal audit plan for evaluating the effectiveness of controls to manage significant risk exposure.
• Ensuring the integration of all Group assurance activities across all of the different functions (e.g. H&S, Quality, Legal, Financial, Statutory Audit etc).
• Leading and developing the Internal Audit team and function to Institute of Internal Auditors standards.
• Monitoring processes and advising businesses and Head Office functions on the identification of key risks and mechanisms to manage these.
• Collaborating with senior leaders across the business to identify business developments and associated risks, providing support with action plans.
• Keeping up to date with best practice to provide advice to the Group management on actions needed.

We are looking for someone with good financial or commercial acumen along with excellent analytical and strategic thinking.

To be successful in the role you will be a strong communicator who can inspire and influence a range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including at Board level.
