The charitable objects of WCC as set out in the constitution are:To advance the education of children through the provision of educational play and recreational activities. Especially to support the development of their social, emotional, physical and creative capabilities so that they will grow to full maturity as individual members of society.
To support parents and carers of children, who are in work or education by providing high quality, affordable education and childcare out of school hours. To support the development of children with special educational needs by providing support in an inclusive setting at low or no cost to their families.
Job description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide safe, creative, appropriate play opportunities for the children and the safe delivery to parents and/or named carers. This will include providing refreshments and accommodating special dietary requirements.
2. Attend any necessary training programmes identified with the Co-ordinator – eg. First Aid.
3. Assist in maintaining equipment in a safe condition and ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.
4. Administer first aid as appropriate
5. Carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework
6. Work within Club’s policies and procedures and take guidance from regular staff.
Ability to provide and facilitate safe, creative play, plan activities and meet individual children’s needs
Good communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised using judgement and common sense and seeking guidance / clarification when necessary
Flexibility and adaptability at work
Enjoys working as part of a team
Willingness to work with all children regardless of ability
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 15 per week
Salary: From £8.50 per hour
