We are looking to hire a full-time Dispatcher. The dispatcheris responsible for the dispatch of assigned transportation contracts and services. The dispatcher may have responsibility for working more than one contract. Larger contracts are described below; additional current and future contracts will be assigned according to business needs. This position is safety sensitive and subject to our drug and alcohol testing program.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a scheduling, dispatch, or equivalent environment; transportation experience is desired.
• Working knowledge of scheduling and dispatch software (or equivalent) as well as dispatch procedures is desired.
• Able to provide leadership and direction for co-workers as needed.
• Able to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Able to skillfully assess client needs, driver availability, and traffic and routing issues in providing direction and instruction to drivers in real-time.
• Able to apply good judgment in a fast-paced and quickly-changing environment, while managing multiple tasks, coordinating between multiple individuals, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability: to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, clients, coworkers, and the public; work cooperatively with others and productively resolve conflict.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including pleasant, professional telephone and interpersonal manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and demonstrate good judgment.
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel, and database experience.
• Obtain and maintain a familiarity with the service area.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Submit to a background check and fingerprinting and upon hire demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits

• $20 - $24/hour depending on experience.
