Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a talented BI Analyst who wants to work with the latest technologies such as PowerBI, GCP, DBT and Git to name but a few (full training is on offer for the right person). Quite simply, If you are a passionate BI Analyst looking to join a forward-thinking and collaborative Company and work with some of the best Analysts in the industry, then we want to hear from you.
You will play a key role in helping us achieve our goal of being truly data-driven, distilling our data into clear, actionable insight that drives performance. We believe having our data analytics team sit within the business is crucial to becoming data-driven and so are looking for confident, clear communicators who are comfortable working across a wide range of operational departments. A strong aptitude for storytelling and being able to condense large quantities of data into clear, concise messages is critical to the success of the role. KPI creation and tracking, forecasting, root cause analysis and dashboard design should be part of your toolkit, but you should also be comfortable learning modern technologies and domain knowledge in an ever-changing environment. Prior experience in data modelling, particularly in Power BI, is desirable. Additionally, experience with enterprise grade Power BI deployments across architecture, governance and overall best practise would be beneficial.
So what will you be doing?
  • Translate business problems into analytical use cases and requirements
  • Partner with operational teams to find opportunities within our data to improve business performance
  • Present analysis, training and support to business users that support our goal of being data-driven with particular emphasis on story telling
  • Create and evolve BI dashboards and KPIs
  • Build & support on data model creation
  • Help support the wider team maintain data and analytics outputs
So what are we looking for?
In order to be considered for this role you'll need to have the following:
  • A proven track record in a similar role, ideally using PowerBI although other visualisation tools such as Looker and Tableau will also be considered
  • Proven capability in applying advanced analytical and statistical methods in a similar Commercial role
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
  • Previous experience of working with and presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Experienced Storyteller
  • Comfortable with Data Model best practise
  • Previous Cloud experience would be a distinct advantage – we use GCP although full training is on offer for the right applicant
  • Experience with DBT and Git is desirable
  • Experience working in Agile teams – JIRA, Confluence
