Position Overview & Specifications

We have an exciting opportunity for two first responders to join the New Era team to primarily support victims of domestic abuse within the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire area, working 37.5 hours a week. 9-5 Monday to Friday, however flexible working and Saturdays on a rolling rota (1in4) maybe required.

About the Role:

As a first Responder you will be:-

Working with Head of Service and IDVA Managers to ensure all service areas with waiting lists are responded to within the contractual performance standards expected. In particular, to ensure all High risk victims are contacted, assessed and provided with immediate safety information and initial support (triaged).

Providing pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic violence and abuse through initial risk assessment, individual safety planning, immediate advocacy and Immediate emotional and practical support.

Holding a small caseload of victims identifying shorter term need/interventions.

Travel pan area maybe required.

You will need the ability to Identify and assess the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
