Visa and Immigration Officer - Arabic Speaker

The purpose of the role is to facilitate the passport application process and handle front office & back office operations conducted at the relevant Visa Application Centre.

This role is a full time role, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, 6 months contract with possibility of transition to permanent.

Areas of Responsibility & brief description of the role:

Processing visa and passport applications and data entry
Collection and scrutiny of documents and passports at the Application Centre
Handover of Passports to the specific High Commission and/or its consulates.
Handover of passports to Courier/Applicants
Handling of postal applications
Handling customer queries in person, by email and on the telephone
Fee collection and cash handling
Preparing reports for day to day transactions
Personal Requirements:

Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
A good attention to accuracy and detail
A pro active can-do attitude
Flexible / ready and willing to work in shifts
Languages: English and Arabic, other languages are welcomed

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6-12 months

Pay: £23,500.00 per year
