Job title: Pipe fitter

Location: Sheffield

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (Days)

Hourly rate of pay (PAYE): £15 per hour

Duration: Temp to perm

Qualifications / Experience required:

Ideally NVQ level 3 in Engineering

Key responsibilities:

• Be proficient in carrying out fault finding and repairs on Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
• Be proficient in pipefitting, both installation and repairwork
• Be capable of reading pneumatic, hydraulic and engineering drawing
• Demonstrate sound general knowledge of, and comply with, the Health and Safety at Work Act and other legislation
• Demonstrate extensive experience in using own initiative to identify mechanical faults and carry out repairs
• Demonstrate a strong general knowledge of Foundry / Heavy industrial machinery
• Be comfortable working at height using either access equipment or climbing ladders to fixed working platforms
• Be proficient in operating workshop machinery (Pillar Drill, Pedestal Drill) as well as various handtools

The following applies to all workers paid on a PAYE basis.

How will you be paid?

You will be paid on standard PAYE (pay as you earn). There are no other deductions made to your pay outside of basic tax and national insurance. There is no charge for your payroll being processed.

How often will you be paid?

You will be paid on a weekly basis for the hours you completed the previous week.

Holiday Pay

Your holiday is accrued over a 52-week average at a rate of 12.07% of your hourly rate.
