Procurement Officer (Tier 2 Sponsorship Available)

VARIETY DISCOUNT STORE LTD is looking for a Procurement Officer. Are you an experienced Procurement professional who enjoys working in a fast paced, engaging and collaborative environment? As a Procurement officer, you will thrive in a busy commercial environment. You'll build meaningful and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive procurement excellence at every stage of the process.

This is a fast-paced role, which requires accuracy and working to tight deadlines. Ensuring compliance to policies and procedures will enable you to drive e commercial success in your role while supporting in the delivery of the procurement strategy.

You’ll also play a key role in supporting with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to maximise value whilst ensuring the right level of governance is applied.

Here at VARIETY DISCOUNT STORE we work collaboratively with our internal colleagues, so you’ll work closely with the Supplier Relationship and Procurement Performance teams, to ensure procure to pay processes and policies are operating effectively to drive overall best value for VARIETY DISCOUNT STORE.

About you

You’ll have a strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to ensure departmental policies and processes are followed.

The ability to provide prompt, efficient and personalised service to internal customers at all levels is imperative, to ensure that their needs are met, and productive relationships are built and maintained. You should also have the confidence to proactively challenge stakeholders and their requirements to drive the best outcome for VARIETY DISCOUNT STORE.

It is key that you are a self-starter with a ‘can do/will do’ attitude who has the energy, drive and commitment to make things happen and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies to form alignment. The ability to identify key opportunities for Procurement support and prioritise workload effectively is essential.

Here at VARIETY DISCOUNT STORE we like to provide flexibility in the things you will procure, however you may have been involved in IT procurement previously, or be interested in a move into this area.

Salary: £25,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
