We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Education, for a Makerspace Programme Assistant to contribute to our ambitious Maker{Futures} programme
You will work alongside the Programme Officer to help to organise, set up and pack away all resources for makerspace sessions, and travel to the sessions, which will be delivered in schools, museums and community spaces. You will manage a series of maker-based activities during the workshops such as robotics, cardboard construction and other STEM/STEAM related activities, ensuring they are conducted in line with plans and with risk assessments. You will undertake evaluation activities on completion of workshops.
You will have a good honours degree in Education or a relevant subject area (Social Sciences, Engineering, STEM, Cultural Studies). You will also have experience in digital communication and support with social media, blog posts and media related to the programme such as contributing to a digital newsletter.
