We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focussed Admissions Assistant to work within our Postgraduate Admissions office. The office is responsible for the administrative management of all postgraduate admissions to the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive support to all aspects of the admissions work of the office, ensuring efficient and effective administration of the admissions cycle .
The Opportunity:
You will be part of a small team in a busy, lively office admitting suitably qualified applicants to the College. The successful applicant will be efficient and customer-focused, with proven ability to plan and prioritise their own work to ensure that deadlines are met. Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail are required, as is the ability to establish good relationships with applicants, academics and other professional services staff .
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Relevant experience of working in an office environment, ideally where there was a high level of client contact.
- High awareness and concern for client requirements and an ability to deliver a service to the highest standards of customer care.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to sustain high level performance under pressure and when working to deadlines.
- Demonstrable ability to plan and prioritise effectively.

The Admissions Team is currently working in a hybrid home/office format. This model of working is a trial and may be subject to change. Under current arrangements, the post-holder may work fully on-campus or may choose to operate in a hybrid on-campus / off-campus working mode. As a minimum, the post-holder is expected to work 40% of their working hours on-campus and will be expected to attend other on-campus meetings and events as required.
