Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking for someone who is able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment. You will also be able to work on your own initiative and have a friendly and reliable manner. You must be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to prioritise your workload. Part time hours will be considered.
- You are able to undertake general office duties and help in assisting the Trauma admin team with the day-to-day running within a busy office.
- You will have experience in general office duties. The role involves communicating with members from the Fracture Clinic and other departments within the hospital environment to ensure that you are processing patient records effectively.
- Ensure all queries are looked into and dealt with properly.
- Processing letters on the outsourced typing service (DIT3) and to use hospital systems to ensure that patient records are kept up-to-date.

About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust: (leicestershospitals.nhs.uk)
- The post holder will complete administrative work for the department; including sending, receiving emails, photocopying, dealing with mail, making appointments and filing.
- Maintain electronic and manual recording and monitoring systems as requested by senior staff.
- Assist to provide a central point of enquiry for GP’s, secretaries, health visitors, other hospitals, patients and their relatives.
- To ensure the patient waiting times in the clinic are monitored ensuring that patients are kept informed of any delays.
- Recording information, as delegated by the team. Maintaining confidentiality of records by complying with security measures in operation
- Evaluate and deal appropriately with all incoming correspondence ensuring that those urgent enquiries are passed to the appropriate team.
