About us
UCL Computer Science is looking to recruit a Staffing Administrator on a 12 month fixed-term contract to provide a comprehensive staffing support service. Computer Science is a large UCL department within the Faculty of Engineering, with over 500 academic, research, professional services and teaching staff and is a top-ranked Computer Science Department in the UK. In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF) evaluation, UCL Computer Science was ranked second in the UK for research power and first in England.
About the role
The successful candidate will play a central role in providing and leading a comprehensive and effective HR and Staffing Service to all members within the department. The role will include advising staff on HR policies and procedures, managing HR and operational processes, processing Post-Graduate Teaching Assistant contracts and ensuring appropriate staffing procedures are followed. This role is offered as a fixed-term contract to 5 February 2024 in the first instance and is open to UCL candidates on a Secondment basis.
About you
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills with highly developed communications skills together with evidence of working as a proactive member of a team. They will have proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy with attention to detail. The successful candidate will demonstrate good time management and must possess the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
