About us

As part of our work in bioelectronics, the UCL Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Sensors Systems and Circuits Group, invites applications for one part-time (20 hours per week, 55% FTE) research position in microelectronics. The scope of this project is to develop integrated circuits for a multi-sensor wearable system.

About the role

The successful candidate will undertake the design and testing of integrated circuits for a biomedical multi-sensor wearable system in CMOS technology. The post will entail circuit design, circuit simulations, evaluation / testing of the prototype devices in the lab, and writing up the results in the form of technical reports and papers.

The post is funded until 5th January 2024, in the first instance. Further funding to support the post may be available.

Appointment will be made as a Research Assistant (Grade 6B). The salary scale for Research Assistant (Grade 6B), point 25-27 is £34,502 - £36,348 per annum (100% FTE), inclusive of London Allowance.

About you

Applicants must have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree (Bachelors or Masters) in microelectronics or integrated circuit design. Very good knowledge of using Cadence software for the design of integrated circuits is essential, as well as being skilled at the design, simulation and layout of analogue or mixed-signal integrated circuits.

A good research record supported by publications is desirable.
