About us

UCL East, School for the Creative and Cultural Industries and IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society.

We are seeking an exceptional appointment to the post of Lecturer (Teaching) in Film Production.

This post holder will join the BA Media course, a flagship programme for UCL’s new campus at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. UCL East will incorporate 12 academic entities with a range of new research and teaching programmes.

Opening in 2022 and 2023, UCL East will unite academic activities across experiments, arts, society and technology, integrating research and education, theory and practice – with cross-disciplinarity, innovation and public engagement. This post sits in the School for the Creative and Cultural Industries.

The School for the Creative and Cultural Industries (SCCI) brings together three UCL faculties: UCL Social & Historical Sciences, UCL Faculty of Arts & Humanities, and UCL's Faculty of Education and Society (The IOE) linking teaching and research across arts, humanities, and social sciences, fostering new research partnerships and new forms of innovative engagement with industry and the community.

The School for Creative and Cultural Industries connects undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and short courses from its faculties, connect researchers and curate public events focused on art and technology, creative practice, media and film, conservation, heritage and public history, and creative entrepreneurship. The School engages with community partners, creative practitioners, and organisations across the creative and cultural sector.

UCL has made a foundational commitment to widen participation in our degree programmes and extend our skills and expertise to become a community resource for individuals and organisations locally. The School works to enhance accessibility, and inclusion across all of our programmes, working to increase cultural representation and diversity across the field.
