Your role

Is curiosity part of your DNA? Do you have a passion for extracting information out of data? Our goal is to use analytical competences for optimizing a growing electronic FX Trading offering.

This role involves working within the quant team to build analytics and alerting tools for existing trading models as well as exploring ML/AI approaches to build trading strategies to optimise the business.

Responsibilities:
  • Generating ideas for enhancements to our current and planned FX trading system. Developing these models in software packages such as python and then implementing the live code in java.
  • Maintaining a regular cycle of measuring, monitoring, and improving the performance of the FX aspects of our live trading system.

Your team

eFX Quant Trading is a growing team within our Principal Electronic Trading stream within Digital Platforms, based mainly in London. All quant traders across principal electronic trading design models and run statistical analysis on data as well as coding up the live models in java and maintaining our java code
base.

Your expertise

  • Masters in Natural Science, Mathematics, Data- or Process Design, or similar education
  • Prior experience in Big Data, Distributed Computing and/or Cloud Computing
  • Experience in machine learning methods is an advantage
  • Kaggle Master and above(or similar) qualification in public AI/ML platforms
  • Strong programming skills in R or Python
  • An attention to detail and are keen to contribute in a fast-paced trading environment
  • Experience in financial services beneficial but not essential
  • Complexity is a challenge and not a problem for you
  • Analytical flair, high quality awareness, interdisciplinary working style
