Delivery Driver

Toomey Motor Group is one of the largest main car dealership Motor Retailers in Essex, and our continued success can be attributed to our impressive performance, growth and leadership throughout both our Basildon and Southend sites. We are actively seeking candidates for a full-time role as a Delivery Driver for both of our locations, we are looking for people who are full of passion, drive, energy and commitment for an exciting role.

About you

We are looking for a competent person, who can deliver 1st class customer service and drive to succeed, you will need to have excellent communication skills and a level head in a demanding environment.

Duties

Checking parts from invoices, loading vehicle, delivering parts to garages and bodyshops, taking payments, deliver excellent customer service, general housekeeping and assisting the Manager when required, you will also be required to do picking or warehouse work if requested.

Salary

• £10.75 per hour

Hours

• Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm or similar shift pattern (half hour lunch)
• 1 in 4 Saturdays 7am - 12pm

Holidays

• 22 days (excluding bank holidays)

Position

Key skills required

• Reliable
• Clean Drivers licence
• Delivery driver experience: 3 years + (Preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to remain calm when working under pressure
• Literacy and numeracy skills
• Good planning and organisation
• Careful and considerate driving skills

**Due to the nature of the role - a full CRB check will need to be carried out for the successful applicant**

• Basildon, SS15 6RW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Delivery driver experience: 3 years (required)
• Driving: 1 year (preferred)
