This is a fantastic opportunity to join Business Improvement and Support for City Operations!

There are two posts available that are predominantly office based in our brand-new purpose-built depot. However, there is some potential for flexibility around joint office/home working in the future.

The vacant posts are:

  • 1 x permanent full-time post (36.5 hours)
  • 1 x permanent part time post (30 hours)

We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible individuals to work as part of a Team providing a full range of Business Support functions that contribute to the efficient running of Waste Services. Our aim is always to provide a best-in-class Business Support Service to our service and citizens.

As a Business Support Officer, you will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective and high-quality service supporting the respective service areas in the Directorates.

You will undertake a range of administrative activities, from processing information, maintaining records; ordering equipment; ensuring the smooth running of office functions; setting up and supporting meetings, including taking notes or minutes; analysing and reporting on information and data; responding to FOI's and SAR's.

We are looking for someone who is a pro-active team player, with the ability to work to deadlines and able to manage conflicting priorities and competing demands. You will work flexibly and as part of a team to provide continuity of service, you will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and have strong skills in working productively in a changing and demanding environment. You will be confident in all office packages and high levels of experience and in general to be able to learn new systems and processes quickly.
