Position Overview & Specifications

Purpose

To deliver short training programme in image editing & photography remotely to groups of adults looking to increase their employment opportunities.

To create an engaging learning environment, which is unique and reflective of the current employment climate and uses innovative ways of delivering learning.

Course delegates will learn -

· The fundamentals of photography, including exposure, aperture, and shutter speed, as well as advanced techniques such as composition, lighting, and white balance.

· How to use image editing software to enhance your photos and create stunning visual content

· How to create high-quality photographs and edit images effectively

· How to optimise your images for social media and other digital platforms

Job Role and Responsibilities

· Deliver using a blended learning approach of virtual learning, experimenting with unique/practical methods to make an impact on learners

· To support and input into the creation of course content and delivery materials

· Maintain focus on positive outcomes for learners

· Deliver information, advice and guidance to help them make informed choices about the learner’s future

· Develop and maintain a good understanding of employment access and the local labour market

· Maintain effective and accurate administration and recording of information

· Ensure safeguarding of learners is paramount to delivery

Skills and Core Competencies

Technical competency (qualifications and training)

· To hold L3 award in education and training (or equivalent teaching qualification)

Experience

· Experience of delivering stated programmes to adults

· Experience of working in a target driven environment

· Previous experience of providing employment-related training

Skills and Attributes

· Knowledge of barriers that can affect young people ’s progression into work

· Ability to engage, encourage and motivate

· Good understanding of the local labour market and employment issues

· Strong process and KPI achievement skills, to time and budget

Personal qualities, communicating and relating to others

· Self-management – manage workload effectively

· Relationship management – develop and maintain productive relationships with your team, management, clients, partners and all key stakeholders

· Customer focused – committed to understanding client aspirations, supporting their needs

· Ability to problem solve and adapt and respond to various situations

· Flexible approach to the demands of the role and to achieve the required results

· Good communication, presentation, organisational and interpersonal skills

· Good IT knowledge or the willingness to develop and undergo any necessary training

Safeguarding

· Be able to display an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults

· This post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service Check at an Enhanced level
