Black Country Pathology Services seek to recruit an enthusiastic and suitably experienced individual to join our busy department as a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA).
The post is based in the Trace Elements and Vitamins sections within Specialist Biochemistry at Sandwell Hospital site. The specialist laboratories receive a large workload of samples on a daily basis. These samples are referred to us for testing from users all over the country and abroad.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and reliable person to work as part of the team in this busy section. Due to the workload and accuracy required the suitable candidate must be able to work under pressure, prioritising their work with excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate would have previous laboratory experience from a UK clinical laboratory, laboratory experience from a private laboratory, university while undertaking a science or Biomedical Science Degree, and industry will also be given due consideration. Candidates should clearly detail experience in their application, particularly any analytical experience.
The post is full-time (37.5 hours per week) between the hours of 09:00-17:30.
