The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming and social media to worldwide cinema screenings. The work of our Audiences and Media Department focuses on growing the love, advocacy and demand for the art presented by the Royal Opera House, so that we can share our work with millions across the world and grow our audience-generated revenues.

We are looking for an Artist Liaison Coordinator to join the Communications team, within our Audiences and Media department. Working across an exciting roster of news output, behind the scenes filming and TV and radio broadcasts, this role directly supports filming and photography output for the Royal Opera House. In this role, you will work on developing a programme of promotional content to support all Royal Opera House public content and artistic output. As Artist Liaison Coordinator you will be the main point of contact to book, manage and schedule filming and photography for the communications team. This content is created and developed with our artistic companies, wide ranging media outlets and corporate and commercial partners.

This is a brilliant opportunity if you enjoy working in a busy team with a wide range of people and want to further your career in broadcast media, communications and brand engagement.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to schedule, liaise and manage news crews, external production companies and internal and external artist schedules.
  • Support activities for proactive campaign delivery, with the ability to respond quickly to reactive requests, scheduling challenges and work within permissions structures, following union agreements.
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of people including artists and the media confidently, courteously and discreetly at all levels.
  • Experience of working with broadcast schedules, news crews, artists and production teams.
  • Awareness of call sheets, media schedules, contracts and planning structures.

The Royal Opera House is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment in which everyone can thrive. We particularly welcome applications from those who are from a global majority background and/or those who are disabled, as they are under-represented within our organisation. As a Disability Confident Employer, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the essential minimum criteria for our vacancies.
