EXPERIENCED YACHT RIGGER
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Yacht Rigger to join our existing team at The Rig Shop._ A passion for boats is desirable and a knowledge of a variety of boats is essential. This position will involve working outside all year round and working at heights._
The role:
- Dress, step and tune yacht masts
- Assist with direct labour involved with all rigging work, including splicing ropes
- Check and record all rigging work
- Monitor all stock levels and carry out stock checks
- Maintenance of daily timesheets and completion schedules
- Applicants must have a good awareness of health and safety procedures in the workplace and exercise good housekeeping at all times.
Job Description/Key Competencies:
- Yacht rigging experience.
- Keen interest in sailing.
- Some knowledge of marine and rigging products.
- Must be able to demonstrate some technical ability.
- Ability to splice ropes would be an advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be hardworking, have attention to detail and a very high standard of workmanship.
- High degree of flexibility and initiative.
- A clean driving license would be desirable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From £25,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
All Customers are required to wear a mask at all times whilst in the building.
Work surfaces reguarly sanitised.
Sanitiser stations in many areas of the workshop and office.
Masks and gloves provided.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Southampton SO14 5QF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Yacht Rigging: 1 year (preferred)
