Position Overview & Specifications

Paradise Palms is currently seeking a fabulously talented and experienced Duty Manager to join our team, gearing up for the wildly busy but exciting summer months.

Paradise Palms is a little tropical inspired local in the heart of old Edinburgh. We strive to provide quality drinks, a creative and contemporary program of entertainment, tasty and innovative vegetarian food delivered by a passionate team that enjoy what they do!

We put great importance on getting the most out of your work life - building meaningful work relationships and having fun within a professional and strongly customer focused environment.

We don’t take ourselves too seriously but we’re serious about creating great food, luxurious libations, delivering top-notch service, showcasing innovative music and curating an experience guests will remember.

Our team are from all walks of life with varied aspirations and dreams. What they all have in common is they are respectful, open-minded, inclusive, honest, polite, creative and hard working.

Two things that we’re proud of are our amazing product and our amazing team of people - everyone works hard, often behind the scenes, and they’re the best at what they do (or aim to be).

We are looking for an experienced hospitality individual with a strong track record of management/supervisory experience within busy bar and restaurant environments.

Your main role will be to work alongside our management team and supporting our General Manager/Operations Manager in all aspects of running the venue - specifically relating to product quality, staff training, profit achievement and community, whilst ensuring the business sustains a competitive edge and exceeds customer expectations.

The approach should be one of inspiring leadership and passion for our drinks offering, our award winning veg/vegan menu, customer service and the local creative community. We also aim to deliver excellence through positive people management, which we believe, ultimately delivers a great guest experience.
