About You:
- Ideally a scientific degree and/or industrial experience in a relevant field with strong, applied, hands-on experimental skills

Knowledge and experience of some or all of the following areas:
- Surface chemistry, functionalisation and processing with proteins/enzymes required for fabrication
- Build, test and characterisation (e.g. optical, electrochemical, magnetic)
- Use and optimisation of electrochemical techniques to monitor biochemical systems (cyclic-voltammetry/chronoamperometry/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy etc)
- Characterisation using surface analytical techniques (e.g. AFM, Raman, FTIR, XPS)
- Fabrication and characterisation of 2D devices and sensors
- Material depositions techniques, e.g. Evaporation, CVD, ALD, PVD
- Characterisation techniques, e.g. scanning probe microscopy (SPM), Raman spectroscopy, Hall effect measurement, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction (XRD)
- 2D materials, technologies, devices and applications
- Imaging and analysis of biomolecular systems
- BioMEMSDevelopment of ELISA or other immunoassays
- Microfluidic devices
