Position Overview & Specifications
Role Summary
To assist the community and maintenance manager in the day to day presentation & maintenance of the development. To ensure client & colleague safety & comfort at all times, and have a basic knowledge of health & safety, fire safety, & specific trade knowledge of plumbing, heating systems, plastering, painting, and minor electrical and general maintenance.
What you will be doing:
- Ensure works completed are to a high standard & completed within realistic time frame.
- To ensure stock, tools & materials are kept to an acceptable level & usable standard.
- Communicate effectively & continuously as reasonably practicable with the maintenance manager & other departments as required.
- Inform company of any additional works needed at location.
- Work well independently, yet be supportive of team members and goals.
- Be able to make sure any works completed are compliant in line with HSE and water bye-laws
- Be able to respond effectively to emergency call outs / situations
- To provide general maintenance assistance to our members including furniture building and storage, hanging pictures and items as requested and assisting them in familiarisation of their new apartment and systems.
- To be flexible and adaptive to the needs of the site, supporting the team in additional ad hoc duties including manning the front reception desk, assisting with general enquiries and supporting the housekeeper when required.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Experience working in a customer facing role
- Already working within a maintenance role within residential properties or student accommodation.
- Able to use general hand tools
- Comfortable with Manual Handling
- Working at height
- Have basic painting skills
- Able to work alone or as part of a team
