Position Overview & Specifications

The Role:

Reporting into the Head of Content, the Content Writer will be responsible for producing engaging copy across all our brands.

With lots of new products and offerings launching into the market, our primary objective in the content team is to increase brand awareness amongst our target audience and to generate leads for all aspects of the sales funnel.

The role will be incredibly varied and will involve working with teams spanning the entire business.

Responsibilities of the Role, but not limited to:

  • Interpreting copywriting briefs from across the business to understand project requirements and delivering well-researched, engaging copy (tasks will include blogs, eBooks, white papers, customer stories, landing pages, sales enablement collateral and email and social copy)
  • Creating, optimising, and updating strategic website copy for all the sites within our portfolio – including helping to a/b test different messaging and UX
  • Developing new and creative content ideas for our commercial clients and partners as well as for internal projects
  • Understanding our products and undertaking content marketing initiatives to achieve effective lead generation
  • Supporting with content for our awards and networking schemes that we run for small and fast-growth businesses, as well as
  • Managing multiple stakeholders and campaigns using Asana
  • Liaising with our legal team to ensure all copy is compliant and managing the process of getting copy signed off, live, and distributed around the business

Key attributes and experience:

  • Proven experience in either in-house or agency-side, or as a trade-media journalist
  • You are a talented writer, with strong attention to detail and the ability to convert complex issues into compelling, engaging copy
  • You have experience writing for a diverse audience with lots of different stakeholders and can quickly shift your focus
  • Brand understanding – you know how to develop or maintain a distinct and consistent tone of voice and are comfortable being a brand champion within the business
  • Someone who understands SEO and UX and is comfortable writing long-form, informative content, and copywriting short-form conversion copy
  • You’re a proactive self-starter, who thrives in an agile, start-up environment that’s changing quickly and has ambitious growth targets
  • An interest in the small/growth business landscape and fintech
  • Experience and confident working on digital platforms, ideally with WordPress experience
