Medical Receptionist (Part-time)

Job description

The Green Practice – Stockbridge Health Centre, based in Edinburgh city centre. The practice provides a high-quality service tailored to meet the needs of our 10,200 patients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join our busy, friendly and innovative practice. Our team currently consists of six GP Partners, a Salaried GP, training GPs, a Practice Nursing team, a Physio, in-house pharmacists and an experienced administrative team.

Our administrators play a key role in the practice and carry out duties such as:-

· Reception work in the form of care navigation

· Making appointments

· Answering enquiries

· Maintaining confidentiality

· Using software (Vision, Docman, SCI, Word, Excel etc)

· Dealing with internal and external mail

· Emailing and scanning duties

· You will also be a point of contact for patients, doctors, and other medical professionals

Previous experience of working within a medical administrator/ reception role would be advantageous, as well as a working knowledge of Vision, Docman and Microsoft Office applications. However, this is not essential and for the preferred candidate, a full induction training programme will be provided.

Hours:- The post is part time (Job share) (22.5 hours per week), and you will work Monday to Friday with a fixed 8.30am-1pm or 1:30-6pm shift. A degree of flexibility will be required to cover staff holiday periods.

Salary:- The Salary will commence at £20,390 pro rota per annum, with annual increases in increments to a maximum of £24,431 pro rota per annum.

Holidays:- 5.6 weeks per year and 8 public holidays
