You will learn to build strong, trusted, and profitable client and customer relationships. Is a successful career within a growing business full of opportunity, where you will have flexibility and fun what you’re looking for? Then please, read on…

So, what does the role of a Trainee Account Handler/Administrator here involve?

This role will be made for you if you would love to learn to foster relationships and help clients find the right Insurance products to fit their needs. Our Account Handlers are excellent at working with clients on the phone or face to face. Our clients will need your support all year round.

As an Account Handler here, it isn’t only about the “upsell” or the “cross sell”. Unlike similar roles focussed on growth, working with us puts you in a unique position to offer clients solutions from a diverse range of brands and wide breadth of products with huge opportunity across the Ardonagh Group.

You will learn to:

  • Service new and existing customer accounts – this will include inception of new policies, renewal and adjustment of existing policies.
  • Manage the administration of insurance policies.
  • Use Microsoft applications and bespoke industry IT systems.

Full training will be provided in the following:

  • Producing quotes
  • Dealing with new, existing and renewal of business
  • Processing mid-term amendments
  • Taking payments
  • Issuing letters/emails to clients and insurers
  • Taking telephone calls from clients and insurers
  • Using a diary system
  • Building client relationships.

What experience do our Trainee Account Handlers/Administrator need?

No experience in an insurance role is necessary as full training will be given. However, if you do have some experience in any insurance setting, that would be advantageous. We also offer the opportunity to gain relevant industry qualifications that will support your insurance career and will be looking to put you through a fully supported apprenticeship program.

Importantly, it is all about you as a person;

This is a technical administration position which is customer led so you will learn to work unsupervised and to meet agreed timescales and be able to organise their tasks efficiently.

  • Firstly, we need you to be your best self at work every day to give our clients the best possible experience.
  • Next, be driven to learn and inquisitive, especially about the Insurance Industry and your clients.
  • We need you to be proactive, use your initiative and show us your entrepreneurial spirit.
  • An enthusiastic team player, support others, build trust and have a positive outlook, be engaging, collaborative and have the resilience to adapt to whatever changes come your way.
  • Always demonstrate integrity, not only is this essential within a financially regulated organisation, it’s also the right way to be.

This is an office-based role.

In return you will be welcomed and supported by our Ardonagh family, with opportunities to earn your annual salary and grow your career. You will also be joining an organisation that cares about you as a person and your wellbeing. Some of the other benefits are:

  • Holiday entitlement of 26 days plus bank holidays
  • Opportunity to progress your career across the entire Ardonagh family
  • Gain professional CII or ACII qualifications to enhance your knowledge and career prospects
  • Pension scheme for when you feel it’s time to retire
  • 24-hour support for you and your families physical and mental wellbeing
  • Corporate perks such as discounted gym memberships, cinema tickets, shopping, Eyecare vouchers, cycle to work and much more
  • 1 days paid volunteering day to give back to our communities
  • Ardonagh Community Trust (ACT) - Raising funds for charity with donation matching in your local community
  • The Spotlight Awards, where we shine a light on the brightest talent across our group
