We’re looking for you to support the Head of Compliance and Data Protection Officer in the delivery of the Bank’s compliance oversight, reporting and SME advice.

You will be able to:

  • Perform data led and value adding regulatory compliance oversight.
  • Understand and advise on the regulatory regimes the banking side of the business is subject to, including data protection.
  • Use your knowledge in interpreting regulation and managing risk to advise across a range of risk and compliance disciplines, seeking input from others as required.
  • Listen to business stakeholders, understand their point of view and provide practical and pragmatic advice on regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively influence, train and support others to understand their regulatory compliance responsibilities.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the retail banking products operated by the Bank.
  • Work in an agile manner, connecting with colleagues across the function and organisation to deliver compliance advice and oversight, prioritising based on risk and value, and maintaining customer focus.
  • Champion good customer outcomes throughout the organisation.
  • Contribute to an inclusive and open culture.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to embed compliance awareness across the organisation.

The Role

  • Providing subject matter expertise on compliance with the regulatory regimes the banking side of the business is subject to, including data protection.
  • Performing close and continuous and thematic oversight to support the Bank’s compliance with regulation and provide a view to management.
  • Escalating and reporting on regulatory compliance risk, providing input to Executive Committee and Board papers.
  • Leading SM&CR and data protection processes.
