Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £41,000 to £44,000 per annum, plus overtime & benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, rotation of earlies & lates (6 till 2 and 2 till 10)

Location: Commutable from Reading, Basingstoke, Newbury, Swindon, Andover, Abingdon and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work within a manufacturing factory environment supporting maintenance of a range of production machinery. In the pipeline and later this year, they have new machines coming to site and are increasing headcount because of it. It’s a very exciting to time to join!

The role would suite someone who is looking for a varied role, happy to turn their hands to a range of electro-mechanical machinery, willingness to apply themselves, learn and looking to settle long term within a great team environment.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineers support the production machinery including reactive, trouble-shooting and repair tasks, planned preventative maintenance, new installations and refurbishments. This would suit Maintenance Engineers who like to variation, to work across a range of machinery and equipment, who aren’t afraid to apply themselves and learn. It will be a place you can expect to work on heavy plant machinery where you can get your hands dirty and be supported by a great small team. Being a small team of Maintenance Engineers, you will have opportunities to voice your thoughts and opinions in the continuous improvement of the site and its machinery. You will also have opportunities to receive specific training and gain more qualifications for the right person.

Requirements

• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold an electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications

• Background and experience in maintenance or service work or similar environment, manufacturing or industrial

• Electrical Maintenance OR Mechanical Maintenance background, either working as a Maintenance Engineer OR Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer OR Service Engineer OR Maintenance Technician

• Have ANY of the following experience; conveyors, packaging, bearings, belts, 3 phase, motors, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics, belts, bearings etc. – any experience of these will be considered

• Friendly and adaptable working attitude

• Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty
