Are you an experienced .NET Developer looking for a new challenge or to step into a more Senior role?


The Tata Steel Process Control and Automation department provide software development services to the Strip UK Hub, which must be achieved through efficient practices and processes, whilst ensuring the Safety, Health & Welfare of staff and care for the environment.


The Role

We are looking for a mid or senior full-stack .NET Software Engineer to develop new applications to support engineering and production, as well as extending and enhancing our 200+ existing sites and applications.

You will be working on a wide range of projects designing, developing, and maintaining web-based applications and services through the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and interpretation, through to deployment on the Microsoft Technology stack.


The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years full-stack experience with demonstrable knowledge of C# and the .NET framework
  • Demonstrable knowledge of software design and SOLID principles.
  • ASP.NET MVC / Web API / JavaScript
  • SQL Server / Entity Framework / TSQL

You will liaise directly with project stakeholders across the various works areas, business, and support functions, as well as our external partners. You will gather requirements, design, develop, and test software solutions in accordance with our documented process, and which meet the departmental and Company standards.

Alongside the above, you’ll be a strong team player, with good communication skills and a self-motivated attitude towards your work.
