Position Overview & Specifications
Swim Wild Cornwall are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and organised swimming teachers to join our Swim Wild Academy Learn to Swim programme. Your primary role will be to teach children aged 3+ to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water.
Main Duties:
- To plan and deliver lessons appropriate for the age and ability of swimmers
- Ensure safe provision and use of all equipment
- Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques
- Correct faults in swimming techniques and identify ways to improve
- To be a positive role model for swimmers
- Evaluate sessions and give feedback
- Regularly assess each participant’s ability and progress and arrange for the award of the appropriate certificates

- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekends
Must have –
- Level 2 (Swim England or STA) Swimming Teacher Qualification
- DBS check carried out within the past 2 years, or be willing to undertake one
- NPLQ , Rescue Test for Teachers Certificate or Safety Award for Teachers
- Safeguarding Certificate or be willing to attend a course
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 10 per week
Salary: £20.00 per hour
