Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking to recruit unique people to work as Assistant Practitioners in our hospitals across Swansea Bay University Health Board. We have a number of posts available for talented individuals who want to build a career with us.
As an Assistant Practitioner the post holder is expected to independently manage their own work and case load, undertaking tasks delegated by a registered practitioner with appropriate supervision in place. Having an understanding of evidence-based practice and delivering care in line with current evidence, the post holder will take responsibility for taking action relative to an individual’s health and care in accordance with organisational policy and procedures.
If you possess a Level 4 vocational qualification in a relevant health care associated subject or Certificate in Health Care Support Worker education, we are actively recruiting to our hospitals to complement our nursing teams in a range of ward and clinical environments. A comprehensive induction will be provided to support your transition into the role.
Applicants who do not currently meet all requirements for the band 4 role can apply and, if successful, will be appointed under Agenda for Change Arrangement for Pay and Banding of Trainees (Annex 21) where there is an opportunity to undertake the Level 4 Assistant Practitioner training programme supported by an individual development plan for up to 2 years.
