About the role

We’re looking for ambitious healthcare professionals to join our team of health coaches. As a member of the team, you will be supporting and empowering members along their surgical journey through to recovery.

The successful candidate should have an excellent grounding across all areas of health and wellness including exercise, diet & nutrition, sleep, and relaxation.

What you’ll be doing

• 
  Provide 1-to-1 health coaching to Surgery Hero members on a weekly basis through message-based chat and phone/video calls

• Deliver teaching in our Group Learning webinars

• Collaborate with our product team to discover and build the best health coaching service

• Assist with the training and development of new members of the coaching team

What you’ll bring

• 
  At least 2 years of professional experience working in a patient-facing role (applications from all medical, nursing and allied health professionals welcome)

• Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• A passion for personalised care that recognises the whole person, and views good health as more than just the absence of disease

• A compassionate and empathetic approach to dealing with people

• A strong commitment to data security and privacy

• A comfortability with technology

• Ability to work from home remotely (i.e. confidential workspace and good internet connection)

Nice to have

• 
  A health coaching qualification from a recognised trainer

• Experience delivering behavioural support (e.g. addiction support, weight loss coaching)
