Strode College has a rare and exciting opportunity for an IT Specialist/Administrator to run the IT Service Desk for a key service within the College. The IT team support a diverse range of systems, from servers to desktops, networks, security systems, and firewalls to keep us running and the role of Service Desk Administrator plays a significant part in ensuring that IT Issues are resolved in a timely manner. The role goes far beyond the day-to-day resolution of issues and will allow the post holder to develop their skills and pass on their knowledge to both students and staff through the production of user guides and training sessions. They will also play an important part in College communications and will act as a central point of contact for IT and AV both in the day to day operations and at times of high demand, including student enrolment and examinations.

It is essential that you have a minimum of six month’s experience in a customer focused environment and are competent in the use of the common office software applications. We would particularly welcome candidates with previous experience of administering Windows directory services and skills in deploying software through centralised management systems.
