PART TIME PHARMACY DRIVER (10 HOURS PER WEEK)
We are seeking a pharmacy delivery driver to add to our busy community pharmacy team in Soham.
COVERING MONDAY and FRIDAY (12.00-17.00)
This is an excellent opportunity to join a team with fantastic long term prospects for delivering patient care as well as developing skills and qualifications within a pharmacy setting.
Responsibilities and Duties
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Drop requests for medication and collect prescriptions from GP surgeries
- Deliver medication to patients homes
- Build relations with local care homes
- Advise of services that may be of benefit to patients in need
- Communicate effectively with the pharmacy team
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Act in accordance with all company procedures
- Develop experience in the pharmacy process to be able to assist with customer queries at the doorstep
- Be responsible for the company vehicle and it's maintenance.
- Assist in developing an efficient medication delivery service.
- Complete mandatory training in Information Governance, Safeguarding, Data protection as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- A full, clean UK driving license
- Previous experience of driving for a pharmacy and familiarity with the Soham/Burwell, Ely area would be preferable.
- Excellent customer service skills and caring nature
- A clean DBS check. Please note that due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check before employment can commence. This includes both spent and unspent convictions, as well as information held by local police deemed as relevant to the role. Employment is conditional on satisfactory DBS clearance. The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children.
