Position Overview & Specifications
Salary
Starting at £12.22 for your first initial 6 months, and then rising to either £12.78 or £13.20 depending on the routes driven.Further guaranteed increases in May 2023, December 2023 and May 2024 totaling 13+% and taking the hourly rate to £15 by May 2024.
Working 4 or 5 days over 7 with various shift patterns.

You’ll be so much more than this! You’ll be the face of our business – playing an incredibly important role each and every day safely and comfortably transporting our fantastic customers to work, to the high street, to our cities, towns and villages, to healthcare and community services, to days away and nights out.
And where they don’t, we’re relying on you to give them a fantastic journey to remember with your focus on all things customer service. You’ll need to operate the bus safely of course, but we’ll teach you all of that for free in our in-house training school.

§ Promotions – want to start by driving a bus but want to fly up the ladder? Great! We’ve got plenty of colleagues who started life as a driver but are now Inspectors, Trainers and Managers within our business. Likewise, you want to focus your career on driving a bus then that’s absolutely fine by us.
There’s only two things we need:
1. A full driving license held for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points on it. No Bans in past 5 Years (Drink Drive Bans past 10 years). No Mobile Phone Offences in past 3 Years
2. And you’ll want to deliver a great experience for our customers.
