Radio Engineer

Protect the public as a Radio Field Services Engineer covering Metropolitan Service area

Working Hours - Monday - Friday 37.50 (between 8.00 AM - 6.00 PM)

We are looking for someone with 1st Line Field Services experience, including maintenance and Fault resolution. This is a fast-paced environment, so it is essential that you can manage a changing list of priorities.
This position is based in London based - covering mainly inside M25 area. Flexibility for On-call Rota and Overtime hours when required.

Due to the nature of this role successful applicant must ideally have current SC clearance or eligible to obtain SC /NPPV3 checks clearance process.

Purpose of the role:

This is a significant role within our Managed Solutions team.
This role reports into the Supervisory Engineer for the organisation and forms part of a Managed Solutions team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Delivery of field work relating to radio reprogramming projects
• Support radio-surgery teams on ad-hoc basis
• Provides technical support for the development, construction, maintenance and optimization of wireless radio access networks.
• Installing, configuring and testing wireless radio access network equipment and software components.
• Conducting radio propagation modelling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis and frequency coordination.
• Generating scripts for and supporting RF network optimization; recommending and testing parameter changes to improve performance.
• Assisting in replicating and simulating client environment for testing and validation.

Our ideal candidate will have/be:

• 1st Line Field Services including maintenance and Fault resolution
• Antenna, PMI installations and decommissions across fixed sites and marine vessels
• Mobile Communications Assesments, RF and site survey and document production
• Personal and on-site Health safety
• Liaision with and co-ordination of both Client and 3rd Party contractors.
• Customer Facing Experience
