Position Overview & Specifications

Content Platform is the foundation of Spotify’s experiences. We ensure our vast catalog of music, podcasts, audiobooks, video, and creator data is trusted, safe, and ready to power innovation across Spotify.

Our work spans content governance, platform safety, metadata, and machine learning systems that enable experiences such as Music Quiz, Playlist Mixes, Save to Spotify and SongDNA. Every day, our platform helps teams across Spotify build better products for millions of listeners and creators. 

As a Principal Product Managers you will own strategy directly. In this role, you’ll shape long-term direction, partner closely with engineering, machine learning, design, and business leaders, and deliver platform capabilities that have company-wide impact.


What You'll Do
  • Define and evolve product strategy for your domain using customer insights, data, and long-term platform thinking.
  • Lead complex product initiatives from early discovery through delivery in partnership with engineering, machine learning, data science, and design teams.
  • Partner with machine learning engineers to shape model strategy, training data, evaluation frameworks, and human-in-the-loop systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Spotify to align priorities, influence roadmaps, and drive platform investments that create lasting value.
  • Make thoughtful product decisions by balancing customer needs, technical complexity, business priorities, and long-term platform health.
  • Champion platform safety, trust, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence as Spotify’s content ecosystem continues to grow.
  • Help teams prioritize work that delivers the greatest long-term impact while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress clearly across technical and executive audiences.

  • You have extensive experience leading product strategy and large cross-functional initiatives in complex environments, delivering measurable customer or business impact.
  • You make thoughtful product decisions and clearly communicate the reasoning, trade-offs, and outcomes behind them.
  • You think in systems and enjoy solving complex platform challenges that span multiple teams and technologies.
  • You have experience building long-term product strategies where every investment strengthens future platform capabilities.
  • You communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and senior leaders, building alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • You have experience working alongside machine learning teams and understand concepts such as model evaluation, precision and recall, and responsible AI development.
  • You build trusted partnerships, collaborate with empathy, and create an environment where teams can do their best work.

  • This role is based in Stockholm or London.
