SCP Metal Finishing are a small friendly team based near Horsham West Sussex, Offering high quality professional metal polishing and bead blasting services for a wide range of clients and businesses.

We currently have a vacancy for a full time experienced metal polisher to join the team and help the expanding business.

The Role will include:

• polishing all types of metal to a very high standard
• Finishing metal components to drawing specifications / specific Ra values
• Glass bead blasting (cabinet)
• Using fixed polishing lathes / spindles as well as hand tools, power tools burnishers etc.
• Cleaning, degreasing finished work
• Mostly workshop based but with occasional site work
• Type of work includes engineering parts, car and motorcycle restoration, yacht parts, pharmaceutical parts, antiques and much more

The ideal candidate will have:

• at least 3 years in a similar role
• The ability to polish all metals to a high mirror finish
• A background in metalwork and a good understanding of different metals
• A keen eye for detail
• Ability to work safely & efficiently

In return SCP will offer:

• £15-£20 per hour based on experience
• Minimum 40 hours per week
• Flexible working pattern
• Overtime when available

Candidates will be expected to attend a working interview for at least 1 day to demonstrate skill level and safe practices
