About the Job

Dolan Hotels is searching for an experienced Bar tender to join it's team for the 20** summer season. This is a seasonal contract commencing in early March and ending in mid-October however permanent contracts are often available for the right individual.

Main duties will include but are not limited to:

1. To make sure the bar is ready for service, i.e. sufficient fruit, bar area stocked and tables set up.

2. Fill out and follow opening checklist, and reporting any low stock items to deputy manager in appropriate time so replacement stock can be ordered.

3. Insert float into the till system and ensure the money in the till is correct. If any change is needed, to ask deputy manager or general manager for appropriate change.

4. Ensure that food and drink served to guests is kept to the high standards required as set out in Standard Operating Procedures manual.

5. Be responsible for recording of all orders through tills and to ensure all room account slips are signed for and with correct room number.

6. Service of wines and drinks in the restaurant during meal times.

7. To serve morning coffee, afternoon tea, barbeque and Terrace Grill menu to set standards.

8. To serve drinks to pool area - serve in appropriate plastics

9. Keep pool area clean of all glassware with assistance of porters.

10. To put the daily specials on the daily special board by 6PM.

11. To wear the correct uniform whilst being clean and presentable at all times.

12. To sign for and check any deliveries and make sure they are correctly stored.

13. At end of service clean all bar areas including washing floors.

14. Be aware of licensing laws and health and safety requirements.

15. To welcome all customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.

16. To work well as part of a team and respect co-workers throughout the hotel.

17. To deal with all Room Service Requests – Orders, preparation and Delivery – ensuring all bills are correctly prepared with charges and signed.

18. Preparation of Cold Sandwiches for Bar and Room Service once Kitchen is closed until 23.30hrs (Night Porter – takes over at this time).

19. Cash up and balance tills at the end of evening shift

20. Be responsible for all monies whilst on duty, cashing up at the end over of a shift.
Short falls are the responsibility of the member(s) of staff on shift.

21. Assist with restaurant is required

22. Any other duties as may be reasonably requested by management

About you

The right candidate will have previous experience as a Bar tender in a four or five star
Hotel environment or a bar/restaurant.
