The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Edit Assistant / MCR operator, on behalf of our Client.
The role requires at least 2 years' experience working as an Edit Assistant in a Post Production House, or in house facility on Longform projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in liaising between the teams’ different locations to ensure clients’ needs are met. They will be the first line support to edit suites.
In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for checking both their own EA work and that of junior colleagues.
The post holder will provide advanced post production edit support, team coordination and assistance throughout the post production process from Offline to Online, Audio mix and Delivery.
The Edit Assistant will report to the MCR Manager and together they will plan shifts, rotas and job workload for the team. They will possess a very good understanding and have solid experience of working with different codecs and digital formats.

Our Client is a Post Production House which has extensive experience and knowledge working across a multitude of projects including documentary, entertainment, commercial, film and music. They are currently undergoing a period of expansion, delivering the very best creative and technical solutions for every job, from their new Central London offices, whatever the platform.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Grouping and synching rushes
- Playing out sequences / cuts and uploading them to viewing platforms
- Conforming and preparing audio projects for ProTools mixing
- Conforming and preparing video projects for online editing in Avid / Resolve / Premiere.
- Creation and preparation of master AS-11 files for the QC department
- Qualifications:
- Experience working with Avid and Adobe systems in a working environment
- Excellent understanding of the media production, post production and delivery supply chain
- Solid understanding of NLE media storage and sharing
- Ability to work under pressure
Skills:
- Good knowledge of Avid
- Good knowledge of Resolve
- Good knowledge of Premiere Pro
- Good knowledge of Pro Tools
- Quality Control
- Excellent computer skills with PC (Win 10) and Mac.
