Position Overview & Specifications
**CALLING ON ALL SECURITY OFFICERS IN CRANFIELD***
Shift pattern: 3days, 3nights, 3 off
Average hours per week: 42
Our Officers will be working on site of an internationally recognised modern and transformative higher Education institution - ranking in the top 10 in the UK and top 40 in Europe!
Our Security Officers will have the duty of:
- Manning the University; Library and Student Accommodation.
- Managing the gatehouse
- Operating CCTV
- Issuing visitor cards
- Building rapport with students, visitors and staff.
- Supporting students who have locked themselves out, re-gain access to their rooms.
- Escorting visitors across the site when needed.
- Deterring any suspicious or threatening behaviour
- Managing any threatening behaviour until the arrival of the police or any other external agency.
- Monitoring loss and waste
- Reporting any incidences.
- Patrolling
Essential Skills
Requirements of Security Officer:
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Excellent organisational skills and time management
- Ability to stay alert during unsociable hours
- SIA License
- 5-year checkable employment history
