The team located in the Center of Excellence will work across the business to define, lead, and implement our digitalisation roadmap (Internet of Things, Connectivity, AI and Robotics). This team will bring all required skills inhouse to set up a world leading development and manufacturing environment from a digital view. A broad range of projects across the full product lifecycle encompassing design, manufacturing to customer service is ahead of us.

In addition, you will be collaborating with Siemens Healthineers’ global technical & digitalisation teams who manage our Integrated Tool Landscape such as SAP MES, Teamcenter and other corporate initiatives.

What does an IOT Architect do?

As a fundamental part of our company’s digitalisation journey, the IOT Architect will take responsibility for defining, developing, and supporting our infrastructure for connected manufacturing and automation. By working with both internal and central company stakeholders, the IOT Architect will draw up technical requirements to satisfy business goals and maintain the roadmap of projects to achieve success.


The IOT Architect will help us realise the full potential of automated processes and data capture using the technologies of SAP ME, SAP PCo, OPC UA and APIs.

Your mission and responsibilities will include

  • Advise on industry standards for machine connectivity
  • Understand the centrally provided landscape
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for vendors
  • Map out and communicate the full integration infrastructure, including machine – system communications and data collection and storage.
  • Help developing necessary internal interfaces to central and 3rd-party systems
  • Assist with transformation and analysis of captured data

What we are looking for

  • Experience using communication protocols like OPC UA and MQTT
  • Experience using SAP ME and SAP PCo for mono- or bi-directional communication between shopfloor machines and manufacturing execution systems
  • Experience implementing Industry 4.0 standards of machine connectivity, process automation and data collection
  • Experience of data repositories like SQL, Azure, and Snowflake

What is desirable

  • Experience or interest in data analytics, such as utilizing captured machine data for predictive maintenance or OEE tracking
  • Experience or interest in utilizing M365 Power Platform tools such as PowerApps and Power BI, for developing own solutions and supporting the business in citizen development and business process improvements.
