£32,000 - £34,000 per annum

The role of Import & Export Operator sits within our Freight team in Bradford which is part of one of our acquired businesses, CMI Logistics. Responsibilities of a Import & Export Operator:

• Liaising with customers/hauliers and overseas agents
• Raising export documentation to enable trailers to transit UK ports & Europe
• Source rates from European road operators
• Presenting quotations to existing & new potential clients
• Booking freight with operators and tracking through to destination
• Offering solutions/alternatives to meet customers demands
• Working with sales team to develop the department
• Following up quotations and reporting feedback
• Develop client relationships
• Resolve any customer issues
• Ensuring compliance with all customs requirements to AEO standards
• Job costings and invoicing

Skills needed for the role of Import & Export Operator:

• Strong team player
• Good IT skills (word/excel/outlook etc)
• High attention to detail
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Methodical
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Ability to create export documentation/NCTS (transit documentation)
• Knowledge on Destin8/CNS would be desirable but not essential
