Trainee Biomedical Scientist

This is a 12 month fixed term contract for a Trainee BMS (AFC band 4).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, professional, reliable and highly motivated Trainee Biomedical Scientist to join the Pathology team on a 12 month fixed term contract at this busy district general hospital rated as Excellent at a recent CQC inspection. The appointees will be based within the UKAS accredited Microbiology department at King’s Mill Hospital.

An IBMS accredited Biomedical Sciences degree is essential. Applicants who do not hold an accredited degree or applicants who require support with the completion of top up modules WILL NOT be considered for interview, but applicants that have completed all their required top up modules and are awaiting results will be considered.

Full training and support will be given and a training officer will guide you through the IBMS Registration Portfolio over the 12 months of the contract. By the end of the 12 months it is an expectation of the role that you will have successfully completed the registration portfolio and the external assessment and be eligible to apply for HCPC registration.
